Require ORR to Evaluate their Post Release Services

There have been reports of children being released to situations of abuse, abandonment, neglect, and trafficking following their release from the custody of HHS/ORR. How to best prevent, predict, and mitigate these situations from occurring and better protect children has been a question on the mind of HHS/ORR and policy-makers. An evaluation on outcomes of children released from HHS/ORR custody would assess the success of child welfare interventions put in place by HHS/ORR and make recommendations for increasing protections to ensure the safety and well-being of unaccompanied children after they have been placed with sponsors in the United States.
