Protect Workers by Reinstating the OSHA Injury Rule- DEADLINE MARCH 8, 2019

Please join me in signing a letter to the Secretary of Labor urging immediate reinstatement of the
Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses rule, which was published on May 12, 2016 and required companies with 250 or more employees to electronically submit OSHA forms 300 and
301 to track work-related injuries, illnesses, and incidents.  The Administration’s publication of a final rule on January 25, 2019 undermines these important reporting requirements and is harmful to our workers.

Co-Sponsor a Bill to Ensure Timely Access to Home Health Services and Improve Patient Outcome for Medicare Beneficiaries

Nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PA-Cs) play a vital role in the provision of medical services to Medicare beneficiaries.  Since 1998, NPs have
been authorized Part B Medicare providers permitted to furnish, order, and refer services, including ordering physical and occupational therapy and diagnostic studies.  In many cases, NPs and PA-Cs are a Medicare beneficiary’s primary caregiver.  While there
is an increased demand for home health services, NPs are unable to certify home health care plans for those patients.  Under current law, only a physician, with higher reimbursement rates, can certify a patient’s eligibility for coverage of home health services. 
This requirement often increases the cost of care by requiring the participation of additional providers and causes delays in treatment, which can jeopardize patient outcomes.
