Ovarian cancer remains the most lethal and life-threatening of all the gynecologic malignancies with a higher death to case ratio than any other gynecologic malignancy. The growing number of women serving in the military means that vital research into ovarian
cancer have not kept pace with the need for women’s health care services, such as early screenings and innovative treatment. For the nearly one million female service members, the Department of Defense can do better.
