We invite your staff/interns to attend our forum where Members will have the opportunity to engage formerly deported veterans, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to better understand the challenges faced by deported veterans and what Congress can do
to help. Hector Barajas, Founder and Director of the Deported Veteran Support House, and Arnold Giammarco, both deported veterans who have since returned to the United States, will share their experiences and provide critical insight. Joining them, coauthor
of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) report, Discharged, Then Discarded, Bardis Vakili and representatives from veterans’ service organizations (VSOs).
