Support Rural Hospitals to Recruit & Retain

Throughout the nation, rural areas are experiencing a shortage of physicians.  To help address this problem in the surgical setting, we have reintroduced the Medicare Access to Rural Anesthesiology Act (H.R. 2881).  This bill will allow certain rural hospitals
to use Medicare Part A funds on a “pass-through” basis to attract and retain physician anesthesiologists. It is identical to the bill from the 114th Congress.

Nursing Programs: Update and Remove Unnecessary Conflict

We invite you to cosponsor, H.R. 662, the Making Educating Nurses Dependable for Schools (MEND) Act in order to protect hospital based-nursing programs across the United States as they face conflicting regulatory requirements from Centers for Medicare and

Physician assistants (PAs) provide high-quality, cost-effective medical care in virtually all healthcare settings, and they are one of three types

H.R. 1284 the Medicare Patient Access to Hospice Act, which would remove this harmful barrier to care. The text is identical to H.R. 1202 from the 114th Congress.
