This week, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt faced intensifying criticism of the many ethics scandals that surround him.   Pruitt has recently come under fire for his expensive taxpayer-funded travel and advocating on behalf
of an industry lobbyist in exchange for a low-cost condo rental.  Yet the White House continues to support Pruitt and assure him that his job is safe.  On Monday night, President Trump reportedly called Pruitt to tell him “keep your head up, keep fighting”
and “we have your back.”  When asked about Scott Pruitt by the press on Tuesday, President Trump sidestepped ethics questions and stated “I hope he’s going to be great.”
