Section 225 of the FY18 NDAA authorized support for National Security Innovation and Entrepreneurial Education Programs. I urge you to join me in supporting one of these programs: the MD5 National Security Technology Accelerator within the Office of Manufacturing
and Industrial Base Policy at the Department of Defense. The Lipinski amendment (#18) to the FY19 Department of Defense Appropriations Act (H.R. 6157) would provide $30M for MD5, a $5M increase from its FY17 and FY18 levels. The funding increase would
enable MD5 to scale up its Entrepreneurial Education programs authorized in the FY18 NDAA, including Hacking for Defense (H4D).
