Veterans Crisis Response Corps Act

I would like to invite you to be a cosponsor of legislation introduced today, the Veterans Crisis Response Corps Act. This bill helps keep our commitment to veterans by providing training, employment opportunities, and a new way to serve
for millions who served their nation in uniform. It would leverage the unique skills of veterans, augmented by training, and bring them to bear on a variety of disaster response, hazard mitigation, infrastructure construction, and development projects, both
at home and abroad.

Become an Original Cosponsor of the Disclosing Official Spending at Presidential Businesses Act

Reporters have uncovered some glaring examples of how the Presidency has become a profit generator for Trump businesses. For example, the State Department reportedly spent more than $15,000
to book 19 rooms at a Trump property in Vancouver in February 2017. More recently, it was reported that earlier this year, the President’s golf club in Scotland received more than $7,600 for
VIP hotel stays.
The Disclosing Official Spending at Presidential Businesses Act would require that each quarter, the head of each Executive agency submit a report to the Director of the Office of Government Ethics detailing any official expenses at any privately held company
that is owned, either in whole or in part, by the President, or a trust controlled by the President. Any President.
The legislation would not prohibit such expenses, but would instead shine a light on the use of federal dollars that have the effect of enriching the nation’s chief executive and his family.
If you have any questions or would like to add on as a cosponsor, please contact Courtney Fogwell at Courtney.Fogwell@mail.house.gov or 5-4176. Deadline for original cosponsors is TODAY at 10:30am.
Sincerely,
Adam B. Schiff
