There are an estimated 43 million family caregivers in the U.S. Whether tending to a father with Alzheimer’s disease, a mother with Multiple Sclerosis, an injured spouse from combat overseas, or a child with autism, these caregivers provide an estimated $470 billion in uncompensated care in the U.S., more than the total Medicaid spending in 2013. Family caregivers devote a substantial amount of time and effort caring for their loved ones to make it possible for their family member to remain in the home.

COSPONSOR H.R. 4305 THE UKRAINIAN WARFIGHTER ASSISTANCE ACT

Section 1250 of the FY16 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) provided security, training, and intelligence assistance for the Ukrainian Military. And while this support for the Ukrainian Military is greatly needed, it did not go far enough, nor did it specifically support the Ukrainian Forces who are often on the front lines—the State Border Guard.
