I invite you to cosponsor the bipartisan Buy American Improvement Act of 2017. Many of our nation’s infrastructure projects are subject to requirements that ensure the iron and steel used during construction is American made. But many federally funded projects
still purchase foreign materials and components that send American tax dollars overseas.  In order to ensure increased prosperity of our domestic manufacturing industry, we must support policies that promote business opportunities. The Buy American Improvement
Act would improve transparency and consistency in domestic content requirements for projects that use taxpayer dollars, and would expand Buy America provisions to a broader set of federal grantmaking programs.
