The International Trade Commission (ITC) is evaluating an antidumping and countervailing duty petition targeting imports from Canada of uncoated groundwood paper, a product that is used primarily for newsprint and book publishing.  We believe this petition,
if successful, would have a ripple effect that would do lasting damage to the U.S. newspaper industry.

BIPARTISAN LETTER: Urge Pres. Trump to Let Cuba Rebuild from Irma

We write to request your support for a letter to call on President Trump to remove restrictions on the ability of United States companies to export relief and reconstruction supplies to Cuba, even if only for a temporary time during the rebuilding period.
This is an action he can take unilaterally without needing approval from Congress. Currently, the Cubans are not allowed to purchase supplies from the U.S. to rebuild schools, hospitals, or other important infrastructure. This regulatory change would not
cost Americans a dime, and to the contrary, would result in significant sales from U.S. companies to Cuba.

Become a Cosponsor of the Make Identifiable Criminal Rounds Obvious (MICRO) Act

When a firearm is used in a crime, you are more likely to find the bullet cartridges at the scene than the gun itself.[1] In 2014, there were over 10,000
homicides involving a firearm[2] and nearly 40% of murders in 2012 had no arrest due to a lack of evidence[3].
We need to do more to ensure firearms don’t end up in the wrong hands, but when they do, we should ensure that law enforcement has every tool possible at their disposal to track down criminals. If law enforcement has the capability to use that bullet cartridge
as evidence and to immediately identify the gun used in a crime, that could provide a substantial lead in the investigation.
