America Wins Act – $1 Trillion Infrastructure Investment

Please join me in becoming an original cosponsor of the America Wins Act, which will invest $1 trillion in the nation’s infrastructure over 10 years, creating millions of jobs, and providing a boost to the economy and the middle class that is sorely needed. 
This bill is fully paid for by taxing carbon pollution, with a portion of the revenue reserved to be passed to consumers in the form of a tax rebate and dedicated funding to assist workers and communities reliant on carbon-intensive industries such as coal.

OPPOSE SALT REPEAL in Budget Resolution

I write to encourage you to OPPOSE the harmful budget resolution on the floor this week, the Senate amendment to H. Con. Res. 71. Specifically, this budget resolution includes the Capito Amendment, which directs the revenue committees to reduce federal deductions
for state and local taxes.

Support Reauthorization of the Generalized System of Preferences Program

Please join me in signing onto a letter to Chairman Kevin Brady and Ranking Member Richard Neal of the Ways and Means Committee. On December 31, 2017, the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) Program is set to expire and must be reauthorized. GSP eliminates
US import tariffs on non-sensitive products imported from more than 120 developing countries . These tariffs would ultimately be paid by American manufacturers, farmers, and consumers if GSP  expires.
