While carbon dioxide (CO2) is a significant driver of global climate change, almost half of manmade global warming is a result of super pollutants like methane, and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) that are many times more potent than CO2. The good news is that super pollutants, or short-lived climate pollutants, have a much shorter atmospheric life span than CO2, making the impact of super pollutant reductions potentially significant in the near future.

Revised Text: Protect Access to 100% Fruit Juice for WIC Families

The 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans acknowledge that 100% fruit juice is an important part of a healthy diet. Currently, the only age groups that meet the daily fruit intake recommendations is 1-8 year olds, which in large part is met through consumption
of 100% fruit juice, according to the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC).
