Increase the Supply of Lead-Safe Housing: Co-Sponsor the Lead-Safe Housing for Kids Act of 2016 (H.R. 4694)

Please join us in cosponsoring The Lead-Safe Housing for Kids Act. This bill would ensure that our limited supply of federally-subsidized homes meets the most up-to-date lead-safety standards. Despite significant progress in lead abatement, lead poisoning continues to disproportionally affect low-income and minority children. In order to address this crisis, Congress must update the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) lead safety regulations and provide more safe and affordable housing. Congress has failed to do either.
