Cosponsor the Tribal Heritage and Grizzly Bear Protection Act, H.R. 3894

May 9, 2018

I invite you to cosponsor H.R. 3894, the Tribal Heritage and Grizzly Bear Protection Act. Grizzly bears are considered sacred by many Tribes, but today only a small fraction of the historic
grizzly populations exist in the lower 48 states. While some populations are starting to increase, grizzly bears continue to be threatened by habitat loss, climate change, and trophy hunting.

Co-Sponsor H.R. 4426 – the Sustainable Energy Development Reform Act!

May 9, 2018

The Trump Administration and Interior Secretary Zinke have made one thing abundantly clear: when it comes to America’s public lands, the hopes and dreams of oil, gas, and coal executives come first. On Day 1, they began taking a wrecking ball
to Obama Administration policies that balanced energy development with conservation, protected public health, encouraged stakeholder participation in energy decisions, held companies accountable, managed public land for multiple uses, and planned for and attempted
to mitigate the effects of human-induced climate change. America’s most important natural places are under direct attack from the dirty energy agenda of Donald Trump and his fossil fuel cronies.

Support a Real Solution to Addressing the Nation’s Nuclear Waste – Support the Titus Amendment to H.R. 3053

May 9, 2018

I write to urge you to support the Titus Amendment to H.R. 3053, the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act. My amendment would substitute the legislation to establish a consent based siting process for permanent storage of nuclear waste. This amendment is
based on the recommendations from the Blue Ribbon Commission on America’s Nuclear Future, chaired by Rep. Lee H. Hamilton and Gen. Brent Scowcroft. Consent based siting was the number one recommendation made by the esteemed panel. They stated in their

report,

Support Bipartisan National Priority, H.R. 3053, the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act of 2017

May 9, 2018

I urge you to vote in vote yes tomorrow on H.R. 3053, the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act of 2018. This bill helps the Federal government to keep a 35-year promise to centralize our nation’s used nuclear fuel for safe disposal.

Oppose Reckless and Wasteful H.R. 3053, the Nuclear Waste Policy Amendments Act of 2017

May 8, 2018

As members of the Nevada delegation, we strongly urge you to oppose this reckless, controversial bill as it blatantly ignores the concerns of Nevadans who do not wish to see the federal government turn our state into a dumping ground for nuclear waste from
other states. It also threatens the health and safety of Americans from 329 congressional districts across the country, located in 44 states and D.C., where the radioactive waste will be forced to travel through by train or highway.

Sign onto the letter to help domestic marine manufacturing industry concerning aluminum tariffs

May 8, 2018

Please cosign onto a letter to the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission regarding aluminum tariffs negative impacts on the domestic marine manufacturing industry, which relies on this critical raw material. We urge the
DOC and ITC to be fair and measured in every respect to maintain the credibility of our trade enforcement regime among all American workers, including those who consume aluminum sheet in the production of marine and other downstream products.

Support Utility-Scale Solar Panel Exclusion from Section 201 Tariffs

May 8, 2018

“The Procedures to Consider Additional Requests for Exclusion of Particular Products from the Solar Products Safeguard Measure” [Docket No. USTR-2018-0001] provides several factors for which exclusion is acceptable when evaluating requests. We
believe this exclusion is justified based on the benefits of the U.S. solar manufacturing supply chain, the lack of U.S. production, and the findings by the ITC that the utility-scale segment of this industry is “acutely price sensitive”. The exclusion of
this product will preserve tens of thousands of existing solar manufacturing and development jobs, foster market expansion, and allow the U.S. to once again fairly compete in the global marketplace for energy production technologies. Responsible product exclusions
will uphold the integrity of the safeguard measures intended to facilitate positive adjustment to competition from imports of certain crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells.
