Cosponsor the TRAIN Act and Support a Study of the Cumulative Impacts of EPA Regulations

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is currently promulgating numerous final and proposed rules that, combined, will have major effects on our economy. Many of these rules will require retrofits and modifications to equipment in power plants, refineries,
manufacturing plants, and boilers, among others.  EPA’s own analysis indicates that some of these rules will have significant costs and will increase the price of electricity; other actions have not yet been analyzed. There has not, however, been an analysis
of the cumulative impacts of these regulations. As we go forward, it is important that we take the time to step back and get a fuller understanding of the consequences of these rules.

Help Alleviate Propane Shortage in Midwest — Sign Letter urging Truck Weight Waiver

Many of you are already familiar with the ongoing propane shortage throughout the Midwest. Our offices have been fielding daily calls from families and farmers desperate to find propane needed to heat their homes and farming operations. A number of delegations have already sent letters requesting an extension of the U.S. Department of Transportation hours of service exemptions that will allow truck drivers carrying emergency propane to drive beyond current federal limitations. Other federal agencies and state officials are also stepping up to assist.
