On January 25, President Trump issued the Executive Order – Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements that directs Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to hire 5,000 additional Border Patrol agents. To ramp up his mass deportation
agenda, legislation was introduced to weaken CBP hiring requirements. H.R. 2213, the Anti-Border Corruption Reauthorization Act will waive the polygraph test for certain CBP applicants. This legislation is set to be considered this week on the House Floor.
