Sign on to letter to ITC to help Print Media

September 14, 2017

The International Trade Commission (ITC) is evaluating an antidumping and countervailing duty petition targeting imports from Canada of uncoated groundwood paper, a product that is used primarily for newsprint and book publishing.  We believe this petition,

Cosponsor the Bipartisan PACE Act to Make Child Care More Affordable for More Families

September 14, 2017

We respectfully invite you to cosponsor H.R. 3632, the Promoting Affordable Childcare for Everyone (PACE) Act.  This bipartisan bill would make the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC) fully refundable and enhance the value of Dependent Care

Support Torres Amendment #87 to Increase Funding for MEP Program

September 13, 2017

Later today the House will vote on the Torres amendment (#87) to H.R. 3354 – the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2018.  We write to ask for your support on our amendment to increase funding
for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program, which is cut in the underlying legislation by $30 million, by $5 million. Strengthening U.S. manufacturing is essential to ensure that American innovation remains competitive around the world.  Through
federal, state, and local collaborations, MEP has worked to provide manufacturers around the nation with comprehensive services that have helped improved their businesses.  This increase is offset by an equal reduction in Department of Justice Salaries and
Expenses.

the European Union.

September 13, 2017

From Benjamin Franklin and the lightening rod to Thomas Edison and the lightbulb, we have always been a country of inventors. The ability to imagine, tinker, and create new inventions is one of the legacies of our history, and it must be an essential part
of our country’s future. It is our responsibility to ensure that every child believes they can be the next great inventor or entrepreneur, and that they are given the opportunity in school to enhance the skills necessary to accomplish these goals.
