It is imperative for the federal government to provide prompt and in-full payment, to alleviate some of the challenges small business contractors and subcontractors are experiencing amidst COVID-19 response.

Approps: Help Reduce Wait Times at Customs – Support CBP’s Office of Field Operations
As you know, CBP staffing shortages have plagued our nation’s ports of entry for years, leading to long wait times for U.S. citizens and visitors at airports and land ports alike. In recent years, CBP has sought to address the wait times issue through the
use of innovative technologies, and has worked to raise additional revenue through private-public partnerships. Perhaps most importantly, CBP has made progress in overcoming barriers to hiring new agents. However, our ports of entry remain understaffed; and
increased funding through the Office of Field Operations (OFO) Account is needed to help fill the shortage.
