Dear Colleague,

We invite you to join as a co-sponsor of the COVID-19 Frontline Worker Recognition Resolution recognizing our frontline workers’ contributions during the coronavirus pandemic. As veterans of the military and of the nation’s defense
and intelligence agencies, we recognize that our fight against COVID-19 is America’s latest war, and that these workers are serving on the frontlines. They are our infantry and our logistics, our first and last lines of defense, and this resolution serves
as a token of our appreciation for their heroic work.

Our frontline workforce, including doctors, nurses, home care and domestic workers, and other medical professionals; firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, emergency dispatchers, Customs and Border Protection Officers, border patrol agents, security guards,
corrections officers, and law enforcement officers; farmers, farm workers, fast food workers, restaurant workers, food processing workers, and grocery store employees; communication workers; truck drivers, commercial pilots, and food and supply distribution
center workers; United States Postal Service employees and other carriers; sanitation, custodial, janitorial, and cleaning service workers; construction workers, electrical workers, steelworkers, carpenters, millwrights, utility workers, machinists, ironworkers,
and other laborers; local, state, and federal employees; childcare workers; Transportation Security Administration officers, pilots, air traffic control officers, flight attendants, railroad workers, and transit workers; and other professions critical to the
life, health and safety of Americans, have risked their own health and safety, as well as the health and safety of their loved ones, to carry out their critical missions during the COVID-19 pandemic. They deserve our recognition and appreciation.

Frontline workers have answered the call to serve their country during these unprecedented times. Their service has allowed essential services to continue operating, minimized the disruption to Americans’ daily lives, and their work continues to play a critical
role in protecting our communities’ health and safety. For this, we owe them an immense debt of gratitude. That is why we introduced this resolution in recognition of and appreciation for their contributions.

The text of the resolution is included below. If you are interested in being a co-sponsor of the COVID-19 Frontline Worker Recognition Resolution, or if you have any questions, please contact Austin Girelli at Austin.Girelli@mail.house.gov.
