Dear Colleague,

We hope you will join us in cosponsoring H.R. 6619 – the Restore America’s Main Street Act –
to provide small businesses unrestricted direct cash relief.

The COVID-19 pandemic is putting extraordinary strain on our smallest businesses – the very businesses who are the backbone of our economy. These small businesses are suffering and need direct relief to keep their doors open, communities functioning, and
families safe during this unprecedented time. Though Congress has been active in providing relief through the Paycheck Protection Program, many small businesses have had difficulty accessing these vital funds for a variety of reasons.

To address this issue, the Restore America’s Main Street Act targets our smallest businesses and focuses on getting them immediate and unrestricted relief through a first-ever small business rebate check. These rebates can be used to pay employees, rent,
debt service, and vendors—to help these businesses keep their lights on.

Under the Restore America’s Main Street Act, qualifying small businesses with $1.5 million or less in gross receipts and 50 or fewer employees will receive a check equal to 30% of the gross receipts reported in a previous year, up to $120,000. Self-employed
and certain charitable organizations will also be eligible for the rebate. There is no application needed – direct relief will be provided to those who qualify.

Our smallest businesses are struggling under COVID-19, and we have a responsibility to protect them.

To cosponsor or if you have any questions please contact Megan Ruane at

Sincerely,

Madeleine Dean
