        Request for Cosponsor(s)

Be an Original Cosponsor of the “Coronavirus Front Line Responders Commemorative Coin Act”

Dear Colleague:

Please join me as an original cosponsor of the “Coronavirus Front Line Responders Commemorative Coin Act.”  This legislation would mint coins to honor the health care professionals, first responders, scientists, researchers, all essential workers, and individuals
who provided care and services during the coronavirus pandemic.

The bill would come at no cost to the taxpayer, and surcharges from coin sales—after covering the cost of minting and marketing – would be given to the CDC Foundation to support the health care response to infectious diseases and pandemics.  The coin would
be issued in 2022, which is the next available date for a coin to be minted.

While we are still in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, promoting the “Coronavirus Front Line Responders Commemorative Coin Act” is a small way Congress can show appreciation for those making great sacrifices for the health and safety of our communities.

Please contact Remy Fortin ( with questions or to cosponsor.  You can read the text of the legislation
