Sending Office: Honorable Mark Takano
Please join us in supporting programs at the Department of Energy dedicated to supporting energy storage research and development.
Energy storage R&D is crucial to maximizing the efficiency, resiliency, and reliability of our grid, specifically for increasing the efficiency of intermittent energy sources like wind and solar. Recognizing the importance of this technology, DOE has launched
the Energy Storage Grand Challenge, aiming to accelerate the development, commercialization, and utilization of next-gen energy storage technologies.
As part of the appropriations process, we are asking for your support for several energy storage related programs at DOE, specifically the Office of Electricity’s (OE) Energy Storage Program, including full funding for R&D and the Grid Storage Launchpad facility;
energy storage programs across the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE); and funding for basic materials science and chemistry research in the Office of Science (SC).
We hope you will join us in supporting these important programs and encourage the Appropriations Committee to fund them at the highest level possible in FY21. To sign on, please fill out this
form by March 13th.
If you have any questions, please contact Michael Taggart (firstname.lastname@example.org) with Rep. Rodgers, or Matthew Ceja (email@example.com) with Rep. Takano.
