Sending Office: Honorable Suzanne Bonamici
Support College Students and Student Loan Borrowers
Fund Student Aid Administration at the U.S. Department of Education
Deadline: March 5, 2020
Please join us in asking the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee to support the Student Aid Administration account at the U.S. Department of Education.
The Student Aid Administration account funds the operation of programs, including the Pell Grant and Federal Work Study programs, that provide students and families with billions of dollars in federal student aid each year. The Student Aid Administration
account also funds loan servicing for more than 42 million Americans who are repaying student debt.
Importantly, the Student Aid Administration account supports the Department of Education’s oversight and enforcement of its aid programs. The Department investigates allegations of fraud and protects students from unscrupulous higher education institutions,
like Corinthian Colleges.
