Dear Colleague,

The Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus will be hosting a briefing on “What We Know about the Coronavirus”. This briefing, sponsored by The Coalition for the Life Sciences (CLS) will be held in Cannon 121 on Wednesday, February 26 from 2:30pm to
3:30pm.

RSVP at cls@coalitionforlifesciences.org

Every day we hear a new report on the coronavirus. The reports range from the spread of the virus to the current mortality rates of victims of the virus. But what does science know about this virus? And is there hope for a treatment before the virus becomes
even more deadly?  Join Dr. Ralph Baric, a leading epidemiologist, who has been working on finding a treatment for this virus.  He will discuss what we know and what we still don’t know about the coronavirus.

We hope you will join the Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus for this timely discussion on the coronavirus. Cookies, coffee, soda, and snacks will be available for attendees.

For more information please contact Sera Alptekin at sera.alptekin@mail.house.gov – in the Office of Congresswoman Jackie Speier.

Sincerely,

Jackie Speier                 Steve Stivers                     Steve Cohen                    John Curtis
