Please join us in cosponsoring HR 2148, the Bringing an End to Harassment by Enhancing Accountability and Rejecting Discrimination (BE HEARD) in the Workplace Act. 

Women and men in every type of workplace have seen their experiences with harassment and discrimination swept aside for far too long. The #MeToo movement has not only shown us how pervasive this problem is, it has empowered everyone from minimum wage workers
who are speaking out about sexual exploitation to movie stars to take action against the powerful men who assaulted them. These brave survivors have risked their livelihoods to stand up and make their voices heard. Now it is our turn to make their voices heard
in the halls of Congress.

The BE HEARD in the Workplace Act will help achieve gender equity and safe workplaces by implementing policies like prohibiting mandatory arbitration and pre-dispute nondisclosure agreements, extending statutes of limitations for workers to file harassment
claims with the EEOC, eliminating the tipped minimum wage, and requiring workplace harassment prevention strategies. Together these policies will remove barriers to justice and help hold perpetrators accountable.

The diverse voices saying “MeToo” have made it clear that enough is enough. We hope you will join us in telling workers who have been the victims of sexual harassment and discrimination that they deserve to BE HEARD.
