Sending Office: Honorable Robert E. Latta
December 4, 2019
As Co-Chairs of the Congressional French Caucus, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, December 11, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in room H-144 of the U.S. Capitol for a roundtable discussion to showcase the French economic footprint in the United States.
Featuring French Ambassador Philippe Etienne, Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs Renaud Lassus, and representatives of U.S. subsidiaries of French/European companies that have invested in the United States, the December 11 roundtable discussion will
highlight how French investments in the U.S. have led to significant economic benefits, notably the creation of almost 730,000 U.S. jobs, trusted technological partnerships, and integration with U.S. suppliers.
The French Embassy’s Economic Department has recently updated its analysis of U.S.-French economic ties, including a state-by-state summary of U.S. jobs created by French investments in the United States. Copies of the new report, detailing the French economic
footprint in the U.S., will be distributed at the December 11 event. In the meantime, the following is a link to the Web site of the French Treasury in the U.S., including a map of the U.S., where you can see the French economic footprint in each state:
Founded in 2003, the French Caucus is a bicameral, bipartisan congressional member organization, dedicated to promoting partnership and cooperation, enhancing U.S.-French relations in all fields, and facilitating a better understanding of the essential relationship
between our two nations.
We look forward to seeing you on December 11 @ 11:30 a.m. in H-144 Capitol, but do not hesitate to let Mike Davin (Mike.Davin@mail.house.gov), Gabrielle Gould (Gabrielle.Gould@mail.house.gov),
Oren Adaki (oren.Adaki@mail.house.gov), or Jeff Lowenstein (Jeff.Lowenstein@mail.house.gov) on our staff know if you have any questions or need more information
about the event.
