JOIN THE CONGRESSIONAL VENEZUELA DEMOCRACY CAUCUS
As Co-Chairs of the newly created Venezuela Democracy Caucus, we invite you to join this important organization. Our Caucus was created to support freedom for the Venezuelan people who have endured years of suffering. According to the U.N., more than 94
percent of people in Venezuela live in poverty, while more than 4 million Venezuelans have fled the country. The U.N. also reports the Maduro regime practices “gross” human rights violations against Venezuelan protesters and pro-democracy activists, including
torture, disappearances, and politically-motivated killings.
Throughout this time, the Venezuelan people have enjoyed steadfast, bipartisan support in the U.S. Congress. The Venezuela Democracy Caucus aims to bring Republicans and Democrats together in a broad show of support for the Venezuelan people, and to demand
an end to repression, human rights abuses, and severe deprivation. The Caucus will serve as a bipartisan center in Congress advocating policies to address the grave humanitarian and political crisis in Venezuela.
Please join us to launch the Caucus on Wednesday, November 13th at 3:00 p.m. for a press conference at the House Triangle.
