Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Impact on Small Businesses Briefing for Staff
Tuesday, October 22 at 2:00 PM
As Ranking Member of the Committee on Small Business, it is my pleasure to invite you to a briefing on how small businesses are utilizing the economic relief from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). The vast majority of small businesses believe the groundbreaking
tax reform legislation assed in late 2017 has had a positive effect on the federal economy, according to a recent National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) survey,
https://www.nfib.com/assets/2019-TCJA-One-Year-Later-final.pdf. Fifty four percent of small business owners reported that the law positively affected their business and sixty five
percent reported that the TCJA positively impacted their personal tax liability.
We welcome your attendance to hear from the NFIB how small business owners are using the savings found from the TCJA to grow their companies, create jobs, and increase wages for their employees. Following the briefing, there will be a short question and
answer session. The briefing is open to all House staff. No RSVP necessary. We look forward to seeing you there.
