Sending Office: Honorable James R. Langevin
We invite you to become a member of the Bipartisan Disabilities Caucus (BDC). It is estimated that one in four American adults is living with a disability, and most Americans will experience a disability at some point during their lives, either personally
or within their families. Disabilities affect constituents in every district, state and territory in the country
and touch the lives of individuals and families regardless of ethnicity, religion, income, age or geographic location.
The Bipartisan Disabilities Caucus (BDC) was formed in the 107th Congress, and over the years has served as a valuable forum for Members of Congress and their staff to discuss issues that impact people with disabilities, including accessibility,
employment, income and asset development, assistive technologies, education, health and long-term care, and emergency preparedness.
The primary purpose of the Caucus is to inform, educate and raise awareness on issues affecting people with disabilities. Its Co-Chairs, and its membership, are completely bipartisan.
If you were previously a Member of the BDC, your membership will continue into the 116th Congress unless otherwise requested. If you have any questions or would like to join as a member, please contact Katherine Lee with Congressman Langevin
at Katherine.Lee@mail.house.gov or Jesse von Stein with Congressman Young at Jesse.vonStein@mail.house.gov.
