BE AN ORIGINAL COSPONSOR OF AN
AAPI MUSEUM STUDY BILL

Deadline for Originals: COB Tuesday, July 23rd

Original Cosponsors: Rep. Judy Chu, Rep. TJ Cox

Dear Colleague:

I invite you to join me in honoring the many contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities by supporting my bill to establish a “Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture
Act”.

Now, more than ever, it is vital to remember our collective past – even the most painful parts such as the Exclusion Acts and internment camps. With the rise of recent exclusionary rhetoric and policies, lived experiences can prove educational and instructive
to Americans of all ethnicities and generations.

That is why my bill would create a commission to study the possibility of opening a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture in our nation’s capital.

If history is a guide to the future, the AAPI story is a story worth telling.

For questions or to be an original cosponsor, please contact Jacqueline Hsieh of my staff at
jacqueline.hsieh@mail.house.gov or (202) 225-2601.

Sincerely,
