Support Immigrant Heritage Month
Deadline to Become an Original Co-Sponsor: Wednesday, June 19 at 10am
Supported by FWD.us
Please join me in honoring the accomplishments immigrants have made in this country and their continued contributions and roles in shaping the history and culture of the United States. I invite you to sign on as an original cosponsor to the “Immigrant Heritage
Month” resolution that I will introduce in June.
As a nation of immigrants, it is imperative that we recognize the generations of pioneers that helped lay the railroads and build our cities, who developed the industries fueling our Information Age, and provided us the cultural enrichment we see on Broadway
and Hollywood. The entrepreneurial drive and spirit that is synonymous with our country was built on the diversity of our origins. It is what drew the first people to the U.S. and what continues to drive American business. The success of America is a result
of our many distinct experiences, not in spite of them.
America at its core is a nation of immigrants, and throughout the nation’s history, immigrants from around the globe have kept our workforce vibrant, our businesses on the cutting edge, and helped us build the greatest economic engine in the world.
I urge my colleagues to join me in commemorating our nation’s immigrant roots, and to honor the countless contributions immigrants have made throughout the history of the United States. To sign on as an original cosponsor please contact Kaitlyn Montan
in my office by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19th.
