I invite you to join me in commending Korean and Korean-American veterans of the Vietnam War for their service to the United States.
More than 3 million members of the United States Armed Forces fought bravely to preserve and defend American values and ideals, among them many Korean and Korean-American soldiers.
Korean and Korean-American servicemembers served honorably throughout the Vietnam conflict, fighting valiantly both in and alongside the United States Armed Forces, some of whom gave their lives for the United States.
The United States remains forever indebted to the valor and dedication demonstrated by Korean and Korean-American veterans of the Vietnam War for their service and considerable sacrifices.
