CAR T-Cell Therapy Events
Briefing: Tuesday, May 21st from 12-1pm 1142 Longworth
Cell Therapy Experience Exhibit: Thursday, May 23rd from 10am-2pm Rayburn Foyer
The House Cancer Caucus is pleased to invite you to two exciting events highlighting the novelty and promise of cell therapy:
a congressional briefing May 21st from 12:00-1:00pm in 1142 Longworth
and the Cell Therapy Experience exhibit May 23rd from 10:00am-2:00pm in the Rayburn Foyer.
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)T-cell therapy is a cutting-edge cell therapy in which a patient’s own cells are removed, genetically modified, and infused back into the patient to fight their blood cancer. The congressional briefing on May 21st
will feature an overview of CAR-T therapy from the nation’s leading scientists and the patient treatment journey told by a CAR T patient.
The Cell Therapy Experience, on May 23rd, is an interactive exhibit designed to showcase the rich history of innovation that led to the development of the first available CAR-T therapies and inspire hope for the future of cell therapies. The exhibit
features perspectives from researchers, patients and advocacy groups, highlighting their contributions to cell therapy and serves to educate audiences regarding the science of CAR T and cell therapy.
Unfortunately, cancer impacts us all and is a continued battle in each congressional district across the country. The goal of these two events is to bring the impact of cell therapy to life, improve awareness and education around its transformative science,
and show the impact it is having on the lives of cancer patients.
We are excited for this opportunity to hear from clinical experts, patients, and see a visual history of cell therapy, and hope you will make it a priority to attend both events. Please rsvp to the congressional briefing at
