It’s time for tennis again!

For all of you who love to play tennis – or would like to learn – we have just the answer: the Capitol Hill Tennis Club (CHTC).  CHTC is in its 50th year as an informal organization composed of Senate, House, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress
Members and staff, as well as former staffers, who are interested in tennis and like to get out and play.  CHTC includes players of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

It’s the perfect way to always find a match, meet other players on the Hill, or learn the game in a fun and social atmosphere.

CHTC plays on Sunday afternoons at the East Potomac Tennis Center Haines Point near the Jefferson Memorial.  This public tennis facility has clay and all-surface courts.

CHTC offers the following activities:

  • 3-5 reserved courts at Haines Point for social doubles play every Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. from
    May 12th through September 15th 
  • Free group lessons with the club pro for the first six weeks of the season, and additional lessons and drills run by club members throughout the summer
  • Parties and tournaments
  • Team Competition for Advanced Players (CHTC League)
  • Winter tennis at an additional charge
