Sending Office: Wittman, Robert J.
Congress’ approval rating is at a dismal 20%, our national debt has ballooned to over $21 trillion, and the last time Congress passed all twelve appropriations bills on time was 1997. Congressional accountability is more important now than ever. As a step
in the right direction, I invite you to cosponsor H.R. 626, the No Congressional First Class Flights Act.
The No Congressional First Class Flights Act, would prohibit Members of Congress from flying first class on flights and instead require they fly coach for any official travel. If Members of Congress are using tax payer money to fly, they should fly like
most tax payers. Being a Member of Congress is about public service, not about misusing hard-earned American tax dollars for personal benefit.
Please join me by cosponsoring this important legislation to help bring better accountability to Congress. If you would like to cosponsor this legislation or have any questions regarding this legislation, please feel free to contact Austin Walton (Austin.Walton@mail.house.gov).
Thank you for your consideration.
Robert J. Wittman
Member of Congress
