Please join Congresswoman Robin Kelly and the CBC Health Braintrust on February 7th to learn about the impact of sickle cell disease and recent medical advancements in treatment and care with leading experts from pediatric hospitals across the


Sickle cell disease is the most common inherited blood disorder, impacting more than 100,000 people in the United States and millions around the world. The disease can be extremely painful and may cause major damage to organs, shortening a patient’s lifespan
and necessitating years of intensive medical care. Children with sickle cell disease face unique medical issues – panelists will share what life is like for a patient with sickle cell disease, what treatments are available and what resources are needed for
additional research.
