Honor Professional Social Workers
Become an Original Cosponsor of the Social Work Month Resolution
Please join me in celebrating March as Professional Social Work Month and March 19th as World Social Work Day by becoming an original co-sponsor of the Social Work Month Resolution honoring professional social workers.
There are more than 650,000 professional social workers providing critical services to over 10 million people in our country. Social workers stand up for individuals and support diverse families in every community. They use their collective power to expand
policies and practices that promote equity and social justice for all people and they provide critical mental health services to millions.
This year’s theme, “Elevate,” embodies the need to recognize the extraordinary contributions of the social work profession to our society so our country’s most vulnerable populations can always access the quality-of-life opportunities they need. As a professional
Social Worker myself, I am passionate about the contributions that social workers make every day to society, and the vital role they play in promoting and maintaining the essential elements of the United States social safety net.
I hope that you will join me in recognizing professional social workers across our country by becoming an original cosponsor of the Social Work Month Resolution. If you have any questions or would like to become original cosponsor, please
contact Mary Martin at Mary.Martin2@mail.house.gov. or call x5-2661. Deadline for original co-sponsorship is Friday, March 1st.
