Sending Office: Meng, Grace
Cosponsor the 21st Century Voting Act
Co-sponsors: Rep. Steve Cohen; Rep. Katie Hill; Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton
I write to invite you to be a cosponsor of legislation that seeks to make Election Day a national holiday, automatically register every American to vote, and restore the right to vote to every person who has been released from prison. I invite you to join
H.R. 394, the “21st Century Voting Act”.
We know there is a problem with voting in America. In addition to the problems underlying the solutions outlined above, far too many Americans have their right to vote restricted when they show up to polls on Election Day. That must end. We must also put
an end to vulnerable voting systems, onerous re-registration requirements when Americans move across the country, and confusion about whether or not an individual is even registered in the first place. That is why the 21st Century Voting Act would
also make voter registration portable among every state and locality, make polling place and registration status information available to individual voters online, and strengthen voting cybersecurity protections.
Again, we know we have a voting problem. I encourage you to join me in solving it. If you would like to add your name to the 21st Century Voting Act, please don’t hesitate to contact me anytime. Your staff may contact Mark Olson of my staff
at firstname.lastname@example.org or (202) 225-2601.
