Sending Office: Honorable Michael F. Doyle
I write to you with a still heavy heart, only a few short weeks after a gunman entered the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, my home, and took the lives of 11 innocent people.
This heinous attack was the result of an individual with dark hatred in his heart for the Jewish people. It is believed to be the worst attack on Jews in American history.
We must do more to combat this hate in our neighborhoods and stop these tragedies from happening. Therefore, I ask that you join me today as a cosponsor of H.Res. 1138 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-resolution/1138?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22h.res.+1138%22%5D%7D&r=1)
to honor the victims, those injured in the attack, law enforcement and medical professionals in Pittsburgh, and condemning in the strongest terms this anti-Semitic attack.
I appreciate the support and assistance of the Bipartisan Taskforce to Combat Anti-Semitism, and colleagues from both sides of the aisle and across the country who have reached out with comforting words and support.
The City of Pittsburgh and our Jewish community has proven to be strong – stronger than hate.
If you would like to join as a cosponsor of this resolution, or have any questions please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 202-225-2135.
