Briefing on the Future of Palliative Care
TODAY
2:00pm
RHOB 2456
Light refreshments available
Please join us on September 13th for a briefing on the future of palliative care and the launch of the Assisting Caregivers Today (ACT) Caucus’s new Palliative Care Task Force.
As our nation ages, community-based palliative care services provide an opportunity to ensure we are providing the best possible care to those facing serious and life-limiting illness. With access to palliative care, patients can continue to pursue curative
treatments while also seeking patient- and family-centered care focused on improving quality of life and relieving suffering. Such services address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of the patient and their family. Improving access to
palliative care will help transform our healthcare institutions and our culture in ways that improve the possibilities for those suffering from serious illnesses.
Panelists will include: Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC), National Partnership for Hospice Innovation (NPHI), National PACE Association, and the national Hospice and the Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
If you have any questions or would like to RSVP, please contact Olga Zoraqi at Olga.Zoraqi@mail.house.gov. We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Jacky Rosen
