Sending Office: Honorable Mark Takano
Tomorrow, as part of the Week of Making we will be hosting the 3rd annual Capitol Hill Maker Faire, along with panels earlier in the day.
The Maker Movement aims to bring advanced manufacturing technology to the masses in a fun and interactive way, and this faire will be a hands-on event that brings tools and tinkering to Capitol Hill.
Come check out laser cutters, 3D printers, robots, microcomputers, virtual reality devices, upcycling, crafts, circuitry and all sorts of nerdy goodness.
Makers will be coming from across the country including DC, MA, MD, NM, NY, PA, CA, VA and others.
When: Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5pm-8pm
Where: Rayburn Cafeteria
The panels will be tomorrow from 9am-2pm in 2044 Rayburn. You can register here: https://capmakerfairepanels.eventbrite.com
Hosted by the Nation
of Makers along with the Institute
of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and in collaboration with the Congressional
Maker Caucus, the event explores the movement driven by engineers, hobbyists, tinkerers, crafters, artists, entrepreneurs and innovators that is changing the face of education, is breathing new life and innovation into American manufacturing, and is strengthening
American communities and their economy.
