Sending Office: Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee
As a Co-Chair of the Congressional Children’s Caucus, I invite you to join me as a host for the Girl Scouts Congressional Aide Program for Summer 2018, which provides Girl Scouts with a great opportunity to learn about our country’s political
process while engaging in public and community service under the mentorship of your office.
Girl Scout Congressional Aides are juniors and seniors in high school or in their first year of college. Participants in the program come from the Washington metropolitan area. Most Girl Scout Congressional Aides are working towards achieving government,
leadership, or service merit badges.
The program runs from June 11 – August 17. We have 18 qualified and dedicated Girl Scouts who are enthusiastic about working in a congressional office. There will be two Girl Scouts per week who are available to assist your office. If you would like to host
these girls, please contact Abigail Bradford, Program Specialist at the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone (202) 274-3338.
If you have any questions, please contact Lillie Coney at Lillie.Coney@mail.house.gov or by telephone at (202) 225-3816.
Very Truly Yours,
Sheila Jackson Lee
Member of Congress
