SDG5 has identified the need to adopt and strengthen enforceable legislation at all levels of government for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. Join us as we discuss global legislation to specifically
address violence against women in politics (VAWIP). We’ll hear from women personally impacted by VAWIP, existing legislation to address VAWIP and recommendations for future legislation. U.S. Civil Society Working Group’s new policy brief on VAWIP will also
be launched at this event.

There will be opportunity for Q&A. Light refreshments will be served. Follow the conversation on Twitter
