Panelists:

Mutale Nkonde (Moderator) works in Congressional District 9 where she specializes in college and career readiness and is interested in developing technology and society curricula for the K-12 social studies community.

Dr. Cathy O’Neil is the author of New York Times Best-Seller,
Weapons of Math Destruction, and is a Data Scientist who worked on algorithms that led to the mortgage meltdown and early online advertising.

Dr. Joan Donovan is a Lead Researcher on Media Manipulation for Data & Society. Her projects look at the rise of the Alt-Right, media manipulation during the 2016 Presidential Election, and complicity of social media companies.

Yeshimabet Milner is the Executive Director of Data for Black Lives, a nation-wide organization of activists, organizers, and mathematicians committed to the mission of using data science to create concrete and measurable change in
the lives of Black people.
