Sending Office: Honorable Mac Thornberry
USO Service Project
We write to invite you and your staff to participate in the USO’s Service Project here on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Since 1941, the USO has supported our men and women in uniform and their families all over the world. Officially chartered by Congress, the USO continues to execute its mission to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to
family, home and country. The USO is also committed to meet the evolving challenges that our transitioning service members and wounded warriors face through new initiatives for them and their families. Both here at home and through its presence around the
globe, the USO ensures that military service members, spouses and their families are not forgotten.
We hope that you and your staff will join the USO to help assemble care packages for our deployed service members from 10 AM to 12 PM on May 22 in the Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building. A photographer will be present to record your assistance.
It only takes a few minutes to stop by and stuff a care package for our heroes overseas.
To RSVP for the May 22 service project event, please send an email to
