Sending Office: Posey, Bill Sent By: Johnathan.Sargent@mail.house.gov Dear Colleague, As you know, many of today’s lobbyists got their start as elected Members or staff on Capitol Hill. I believe that a part of restoring trust in our institutions and making sure that those working on legislation have no other loyalties begins by closing this […]

H.R. 2966, The United States-Cuba Normalization Act of 2017. This legislation will open up new markets for U.S. commerce and bring prosperity to both the American and Cuban peoples.
We invite you to join us in urging the Department of Homeland Security and Office of Management and Budget to reconsider a drafted rule that would deny immigrants green cards or visa extensions based on their, and their families’, use of public benefits.
We have all heard much about the scourge of gun violence plaguing my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. From news reports to the President’s Twitter feed, there has been a resounding call for action to help quell the violence and bring peace to our streets.
As former Speaker Newt Gingrich highlighted in a recent foxnews.com op-ed, the House needs to continue its bold actions in moving strong, principled, commonsense, legislative goals. The GOP holds the House, Senate, and Presidency, and we have only 8 months

year. Please join us to learn about impacts of cuts to conservation programs, changes to the forestry title, and policy provisions that endanger a strong Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and other bedrock environmental protections. We expect the Farm

sentence” for Puerto Rico, in addition to taking phone and Internet service from approximately 8.3 million of the most vulnerable citizens nationwide. I was proud to join the Congressional letter earlier this session led by my colleagues Reps. Eshoo and
Clarke to urge Chairman Pai to abandon this proposal. My letter echoes that argument, and presents Chairman Pai with an additional rationale for preserving Lifeline: post-Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico.
