Sending Office: Honorable Mike Thompson
As Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Telehealth Caucus, we invite you to become a member of the Caucus.
For too many people, access to quality, affordable healthcare remains a challenge. Chronically ill patients have difficulty making frequent visits to a physician, patients in rural areas have limited access to specialists, and providers may lack the authority
or expertise to treat acute and complex cases without a larger care team.
By leveraging advancements in technology, we can allow for the provision of such services via telehealth and eliminate these barriers to care. We can bring neurosurgeons into the operating rooms of small remote hospitals, physical therapists into the living
rooms of immobile seniors, or behavioral therapists to the aid of individuals in crisis.
The Congressional Telehealth Caucus will facilitate the advancement policies that expand access to quality care and improve outcomes for the millions of Americans who could benefit from telehealth services. The Caucus will seek to educate members and staff
on related issues, facilitate conversations among stakeholder groups and member offices, and advocate for the development of telehealth-related legislation and policies.
This Congress has already made significant gains in the field of telehealth, and we hope that you will join us in supporting future advancements. For more information or to join the caucus, please contact
