Join an Inequality Special Order

April 11, 2018 – Second Special Order Hour

Dear Colleague:

Over the last thirty years inequality has grown in the United States at a rapid rate. America’s top 10% now average more than 9 times as much income as the bottom 90% of Americans.

Although the productivity of American workers has increased by 20% over the last 30 years, wages are stagnant, while the wealthy and corporations experience record high profits. The last time the incomes of the top earners in the United States
reached such levels was in the late 1920s – right before the beginning of the Great Depression. This level of inequality is unsustainable.

That is why we ask you to join us on April 11th for a special order hour addressing inequality. We welcome all members who wish to address inequality in its many form and work to correct it.

If you have any questions, or to RSVP, please contact Ethan Van Ness in Congressman DeSaulnier’s office at or 202-225-2095.
