Dear Colleague;

We write to announce that Public Schools Week will be taking place March 12-16th.

During Public Schools Week, we will lift up the many students, schools, and professionals who make our public schools such vital components of our communities. We will also honor our parents and communities that are working hard to improve educational outcomes
for children. And of course, we will share stories about our students and their success. Please visit the following link for additional

materials
about supporting public schools.

We invite Members and Staff to recognize Public Schools Week in the following ways:

Evening of Tuesday (3/13): 1-minute speeches where Members can share a story or anecdote about the great things happening in local public schools.

Morning of Wednesday (3/14): 5-minute speeches where Members can share a story or anecdote about the great things happening in a public school or with public school students in their Congressional District.

Afternoon of Wednesday (3/14): Press Conference introducing Joint Statement in Support of Public Schools signed by 50+ organizations, Congressional Statement for the Record Honoring Public Schools Week and other pro-public
education legislation.

Morning of Thursday (3/15): 5-minute speeches where Members can share a story or anecdote about the great things happening in a public school or with public school students in their Congressional District.

Afternoon of Thursday 1-3 pm (3/15): Tweet storm! We will be sending staff Google Drive links with many sample Facebook posts, tweets and graphics. We will also be amplifying floor speeches during that time.
